Woodland Valley welcomes a wide range of schools and colleges every year, including primary and secondary schools, private schools and universities. We use the farm as an outdoor classroom founded on the themes of conservation and sustainability.
Our activities, resources and flexibility provide experiences that deliver the specific learning objectives for each group. Our resource is ideal for teaching mainstream subjects such as Geography, History, Science, Drama, Art and Music as well as traditional farming and countryside management skills.
Woodland Valley’s Countryside Classroom is an excellent centre to pursue goals in education at all levels.
We offer an ideal environment for learning and enjoyment of the countryside and have the flexibility to work either as a base for groups to carry out their own programme, or we can deliver a programme which is tailor made to suit your requirements. Groups can use us either for day visits or as a residential centre.
Drama, Art and Music also make excellent after hours activities for residential groups and can include storytelling as well as local history, myths and legends.
