Welcome to Woodland Valley

Woodland Valley is set in Ladock Parish, situated in the very centre of Cornwall. It is an organic farm which is being developed as a centre for education. It is located in a beautiful, secluded valley and includes ancient woodland, ponds, streams, and wetland. Originally a part of the Trethurffe Estate (mentioned in the Domesday Book), the farm has been owned by the Jones family since 1960 and is managed on sustainable lines.

Chris and Janet Jones are promoting the farm as an outdoor classroom founded on the themes of conservation and sustainability. This resource is available for teaching mainstream subjects such as Geography and Science as well as T raditional farming and countryside management skills.

We are able to host a comprehensive client-group ranging from schools and colleges (KS1 to undergraduate) to corporate clients, on a residential or day basis.

For all we offer participation in courses and workshops, but most importantly, the sheer enjoyment of our farm, and the chance to connect the food we eat with the countryside it comes from.

We are also able to offer accommodation to private groups, parties and families.

‘live as if we’ll die tomorrow,
but farm as if we‘ll live forever.’
